With the deprecation of 3rd party cookies in 2024, it's now more important than ever to ensure your campaigns don't suffer from signal loss. As 3rd party cookies are progressively blocked further, any campaigns you run on LinkedIn which optimise to a website action will see worsening results.
The LinkedIn Conversions API allows you to send events and actions to the LinkedIn server without the need for cookies, helping you maintain signals for optimising your campaigns.
Step 1) Head to LinkedIn Campaign Manager and create a new Conversions API action
Step 2) Follow the instructions to define the action or event you want to track in LinkedIn, and the campaigns associated with this event.
Step 3) Head to Driftrock, and visit the connections page. Follow the steps to connect LinkedIn Campaign Manager with your Driftrock account
Step 4) Once this is connected, go to the Driftrock Capture which is receiving the necessary events which you want to send to LinkedIn. This could be an event from any source, such as your website, or a lead generation campaign. Navigate to Automation, and set up a new Conversion API connection.
Step 5) Click Edit and select your LinkedIn account, and the conversion rule which you setup in steps 1 and 2. Click Save.
Once you have completed these steps, your Driftrock Capture will now send any actions it receives to your LinkedIn conversion, allowing you to use this event for optimising your campaigns and reporting on performance.
